The Crooked Family

Paper 18 x 24 Inches
Charcoal

There was a crooked man, and he walked a crooked mile.
He found a crooked sixpence against a crooked stile.
He bought a crooked cat, which caught a crooked mouse,
And they all lived together in a little crooked house.

This is my visual interpretation of a nursery rhyme above, "The Crooked Sixpence." Meanwhile, it was the first time for me using charcoal. I had a hard night. The values of the image doesn't work so well, but I like the way all the crooked characters together give a peaceful and satisfied feeling being with each other, while most people in the world prefer a nice look for their faces, body shapes and everything. I would like to put more value on the beauty of imperfection.
